Journey Around the Wheel

TamKira's six week Journey Around the Wheel is an immersive and transformative course that invites participants to explore the sacred Medicine Wheel and other ancient systems of understanding the cycles of life.

We also introduce other traditions including  the Celtic Pagan Wheel and the seasonal cycles observed by Australian Aboriginal cultures, offering a holistic perspective on the interconnectedness of all life.

  • The Medicine Wheel, a powerful symbol used by many Native American people, provides a framework for personal and spiritual growth by connecting participants with the energies of the four directions—North, East, South, and West.

  • Throughout the course, participants engage in weekly circles that honor the Medicine Wheel’s four directions:

  • East: The direction of new beginnings, springtime, and inspiration. We focus on setting intentions, gaining clarity, and welcoming fresh perspectives.

  • South: Connected to summer, growth, and abundance, the South invites participants to embrace their inner child, cultivate joy, and experience the flow of life.

  • West: As the direction of autumn and introspection, the West is where we honor our emotions, reflect on past experiences, and let go of what no longer serves us.

  • North: Representing winter and wisdom, the North guides us toward stillness, introspection, and spiritual insight as we integrate our learnings and find strength in quiet moments.

“I undertook this course with my usual touch of trepidation and cynicism of venturing into the unknown, not that I am averse to the possibility of learning, discovery and adventure, it is more a matter of trusting people's true intentions. Not having any previous knowledge of the Medicine Wheel I really didn't know what to expect. Tammy and Kira presented and shared their knowledge in a very illuminating way which left me wanting to know more.

As the weeks went by I slowly gained an appreciation and respect for the extent of knowledge, wisdom and teachings of the Medicine Wheel. I slowly began to trust our teachers and the other participants in the class, and felt a stronger connection with the land, the elements, our galaxy, our ancestors, our plants and the creatures we share this planet with. I also felt a connection with the rituals, the drums, the herbs, the textures, the craftwork and the miraculous talking stick.

Thank you Kira and Tammy, I now feel that I have found my tribe, where I can be truly free to express myself and tap into my inner wisdom and intrinsic self in a safe, supportive and nurturing environment.”
