Drum Making Retreat

TamKira’s Drum Making Retreat offers a sacred, hands-on experience where participants craft their own shamanic drums, connecting deeply with spirit, nature, and tradition. Over the course of the retreat, participants are guided through the ancient process of creating their drum, learning the significance of each step in traditional drum making, from choosing natural materials to stretching the hide. Each drum becomes a personal, powerful tool for shamanic journeying, meditation, and healing.

  • The retreat fosters a nurturing environment, blending creativity, spirituality, and community. In addition to drum making, participants engage in meditative practices, sacred circle work, and drumming ceremonies to deepen their connection with their craft and the healing power of rhythm.

  • Set amidst the beautiful Tasmanian landscape, the retreat includes nourishing vegetarian meals, peaceful walks in nature, and evenings around the campfire. These shared experiences create a sense of belonging and collective spirit, as participants leave not only with their own hand-crafted drum but also with newfound skills, insights, and personal transformation.

  • TamKira’s Drum Making Retreat is a profound journey of creation, healing, and connection, offering a transformative weekend experience for anyone seeking to explore the spiritual and artistic aspects of drum making.
